Originally called "Art Recovery and Conservation", we have been assisting adjusters and homeowners with artwork damaged in a fire, water or moving loss.
We provide detailed estimates and inventories, descriptions of treatment options, high-quality customer service, appraisal and art salvage services.
The recovery work is done on premises. Specialized pack-out and delivery available.
In 1999, Art Recovery and Conservation became Fine Art Specialists, LLC, complete with full service picture framing.
In 2007, digital evaluations were added to aid insurance adjusters in dealing with claims involving artwork and other unusual items. While photos don't tell the whole story, they are very useful in avoiding unnecessary travel and other costs. They also help in alerting us when special mitigation is required.
In 2009, we added VACUUM FREEZE DRYING to our services. It allows us to dry wet books and documents so that they can be returned with as little damage as possible.
For 2010, we are also adding COLLECTION MANAGEMENT and INVENTORY MANAGEMENT to our services offered. Especially useful for large loss, or large private collections, this allows for digital cross reference and barcode management of large inventory.
